Morgan Otagburuagu
Morgan Otagburuagu’s striking, experimental imagery celebrates the strength of the Black body and the iridescent beauty of Black skin. Born in 1997 in Abia State, Nigeria, the Lagos-based photographer is a master of light whose work is praised by art lovers and industry professionals alike.
In 2023, the artist held his first worldwide solo show at Doyle Wham in London, alongside exhibitions in Germany and Japan. He was also celebrated as Fashion Photographer of the Year by the Fashions Finest Africa (FFA), the Jury’s Winner for the Agora Worldwide Awards and awarded the Profifoto New Talent Award.
His photographs have been published in leading newspapers and media outlets worldwide, including The Guardian, The Times, Deutsche Velle, Art News Africa, Aesthetica Magazine, Afrodysée, Something Curated, Acumen and Vogue Italia.
